A tragic incident occurred in Okitipupa, Ondo State, where a 25-year-old man, Micheal Ikuedowoni, was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend, Augustina Mowari, over alleged infidelity.
The incident occurred on Sunday night after a heated argument between the couple over Ikuedowoni’s alleged relationship with another lady.
According to a neighbour, who preferred anonymity, the confrontation escalated into a fight, and Mowari allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Ikuedowoni on the chest.
Ikuedowoni was bleeding profusely and died before people could rush in to salvage him.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident and said that the suspect has been arrested.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID) in Akure for proper investigation.
