Abubakar Yusuf, nominated as Commissioner for Consumer Affairs, bringing expertise to protect consumer interests.
Animashun, nominated as Commissioner for Finance and Management Services, expected to leverage his skills in managing the financial aspects of NERC.
To prevent a leadership vacuum, President Tinubu has directed Ramat to assume office in an acting capacity pending Senate screening.
President Tinubu urged the nominees to utilise their knowledge and experience to effectively steer the commission and support the administration’s broader vision for the power sector.
Hensard Times reports that all nominations are subject to confirmation by the Senate.
