Widows laud Oborevwori for welfare scheme

Widows in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the Delta have commended Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori for his commitment to their welfare through the Widows Welfare Scheme.
The widows made the remarks on Saturday during the continuation of the Widows Welfare Free Medical Health Scheme registration held at Issele-Uku, headquarters of the LGA.
The initiative is implemented through the office of Chief Isioma Okonta, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Social Investment Programmes, in collaboration with the Director-General of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission, Dr. Isaac Akpoveta.
The scheme, initiated by the governor, provides monthly stipends and free medical care to widows across the 25 local government areas of the state.
The scheme includes a free medical health scheme, with registration currently underway in various local government areas.
Beneficiaries also receive monthly stipends to support their well-being.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Social Investment Programmes, Chief Isioma Okonta, commended the governor for his people-oriented leadership and commitment to the welfare of the poor and vulnerable.
The widows offered prayers for the governor, his family, and the state, asking for continued peace, progress, and divine protection.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the governor’s initiative, describing him as a promise keeper.
