Dometic Violence: Ned Nwoko denies allegations, accuses wife of drug abuse

Senator Ned Nwoko has denied allegations of domestic violence made against him by his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, following the circulation of a viral video in which the actress appeared visibly distressed and claimed to be suffering abuse in her marriage.
Taking to his verified account on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Nwoko described Daniels’ accusations as baseless and linked her emotional outburst to alleged substance abuse.
The Delta North lawmaker asserted that Regina Daniels’ purported struggle with drug and alcohol addiction is at the heart of their marital breakdown.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem.
“She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko wrote in a statement titled ‘Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence’.
In the lengthy post, Nwoko claimed that Daniels became violent in his absence, reportedly assaulting three members of their household staff and vandalising property within the family’s compound.
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence.
”Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff members in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,” he alleged.
The senator also stated that he had made efforts to assist the actress in seeking professional help, offering to place her in rehabilitation either in Asokoro or overseas including in Jordan where, he emphasised, “she will not have access to drugs.”
Nwoko also accused Daniels of threatening a nurse who, he claimed, revealed information about her alleged drug use.
He went on to name two individuals identified only as Sammy and Ann whom he accused of supplying Daniels with illicit substances and enabling her condition.
His post was accompanied by a video clip that appeared to show damaged property within his residence including broken windows and a vehicle with visible damage purportedly resulting from Daniels’ actions.
The couple’s conflict became public after a video of Regina Daniels surfaced online earlier in the week. In the footage, the actress is seen emotionally declaring:
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again — I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
The video quickly went viral, sparking widespread public reaction and raising concern among fans and fellow actors.
Shortly after the clip emerged, Daniels’ brother took to Instagram to defend her, accusing Nwoko of physical abuse and pledging to stand by his sister.
As of the time of filing this report, Regina Daniels has not issued a public statement in response to her husband’s latest claims.
