Oborevwori hails Orodje of Okpe on birthday, celebrates leadership legacy

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, has congratulated to HRM Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom and Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Thursday in Asaba, Oborevwori praised Mujakperuo for his decades-long dedication to peace, development, and cultural preservation.
He described the Orodje as a “bridge-builder of unwavering integrity.”
Oborevwori noted that his influence continued to resonate across the State and the nation.
“Orhue I has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to harmony, progress, and the safeguarding of our rich cultural heritage.
”Over the years, Orhue I has made remarkable contributions to the growth and advancement of Okpe Kingdom, Delta and the nation at large,” the governor said.
He lauded the traditional ruler as a revered royal father, custodian of Okpe tradition, and an exemplary leader whose guidance has shaped the growth and advancement of both his kingdom and Delta.
Oborevwori also commended the Orodje for his steadfast support of the state government.
He emphasised his role in uniting his people and strengthening the traditional institution in alignment with the state’s development goals.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta, I warmly congratulate His Royal Majesty on his birth anniversary.
“Your leadership continues to be a symbol of peace and unity, and we are deeply grateful for your unwavering contributions to society.”
He also described the traditional ruler as a source of inspiration, mentorship, and guidance to both peers and emerging leaders.
The governor highlighted his role in fostering cultural cooperation and peaceful coexistence among Delta State’s diverse communities.
“As a government, we deeply appreciate your exceptional support in various areas and trust that you will continue to uphold your domain as a symbol of peace and unity.
”As Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, you have consistently demonstrated humility, impeccable leadership, and an unwavering commitment to peace advocacy.”
Oborevwori prayed for continued health, wisdom, and strength for the Orodje as he leads the traditional council.
