PSC, Nigeria Police Force open portal for recruitment of Constables Dec. 15

The Police Service Commission (PSC) in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force said the portal for recruitment of 50,000 constables into the Nigeria Polices Force would be opened on December 15.

A statement by Mr. Torty Kalu, the Head of Protocol and Public Affairs of PSC on Thursday in Abuja said the portal would be closed on January 25, 2026.

He said all applications must be submitted ONLINE through the official recruitment portal: www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng.

“Applicants for general duty cadre must be holders of GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents with a minimum of five credits (including English Language and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.

“For specialists cadre applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents with a minimum of four credits, including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

“A minimum of three years experience and Trade Tests in relevant fields/areas is required,” he said.

He said eligibility and interested candidates must be Nigerian citizens by birth, aged between 18 and 25 years for general duty and 18 to 28 years for specialists.

Kalu said the applicant must be medically, physically and psychologically fit and not less than 1.67m (male) and 1.64m (female) in height for General Duty only.

He said the applicant must meet other requirements as would be specified on the recruitment portal.

Kalu said the recruitment exercise would be conducted in the most transparent, merit-based and credible manner.

According to him, the application is FREE and no payment will be required at any stage of the proces.

He urged applicants to be wary of fraudsters, adding that detailed guidelines, requirements and the application link would be made available.

Kalu said the link would be made available on the official recruitment portal on www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to be activated on December 15.

He further said the link would also be made available on the official websites and social media handles of PSC and the Nigeria Police Force.

Kalu also urged qualified and patriotic Nigerians to seize this opportunity to serve the nation.
