FG pledges support for Ondo’s 50th anniversary agenda

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to backing Ondo State’s development as Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa unveiled a five-point policy agenda for sustainable growth and inclusive governance.
Delivering President Bola Tinubu’s goodwill message at the state’s golden jubilee celebrations in Akure, Minister of Interior Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo assured residents that the federal government would partner with Ondo to harness its human and natural resources for national development.
The event at the Ondo State Sports Complex drew dignitaries including Ekiti Governor Biodun Oyebanji, former Ondo Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunusi.
Tinubu noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda remained focused on strengthening security, improving infrastructure, empowering communities, and ensuring equitable development.
He praised the people for their democratic participation and urged youths to embrace innovation and civic responsibility.
Governor Aiyedatiwa described the golden jubilee as both a celebration and a call to action, outlining a five-point agenda emphasising security, economic diversification, infrastructure, human capital development, and transparent governance.
He paid tribute to the state’s founding fathers and mothers, as well as teachers, farmers, civil servants, and youths, encouraging the younger generation to shape Ondo’s next 50 years.
