President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a one-day official visit to Kebbi State on Saturday, where he will inaugurate a series of development projects executed by the administration of Governor Nasir Idris.

A statement from the President’s Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that Tinubu would commission key infrastructure and social projects aimed at enhancing development across the state.

The commissioning underscores the federal government’s commitment to supporting subnational initiatives and boosting local development efforts.

In addition to the project commissioning, President Tinubu would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the 61st edition of the Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.

The festival, held along the historic Matan Fada riverside, is one of Africa’s most celebrated cultural events and has earned recognition from UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The annual festival not only showcases the rich cultural heritage of Kebbi State but also promotes tourism, community engagement, and economic activity in the region.

Tinubu’s participation highlights the federal government’s support for the preservation and promotion of Nigeria’s diverse cultural traditions.

The one-day visit reflects a blend of governance, development, and cultural diplomacy, reinforcing the administration’s agenda to combine infrastructure growth with the celebration of national heritage.
