NDLEA seizes 236 cocaine wraps at Nigerian airports

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency arrested a China-based Nigerian businessman, Vincent Chukwudulue, and two Angolan citizens at Abuja and Kano airports respectively.
The suspects, Mbandu Martins Makiadi and Ngoma Wilson Fernando, excreted a total of 236 wraps of cocaine during observation following body scans at the airports.
Vincent Chukwudulue, previously a Lagos Island businessman, relocated to Guangzhou, China, in 2024, before allegedly engaging in drug trafficking across international borders.
The two Angolans, aged 50 and 52, claimed they were recruited by a Luanda-based automobile spare parts dealer promising $3,000 each for delivery to Turkey.
Mbandu excreted 76 wraps weighing 920 grams, while Ngoma expelled 108 pellets totaling 1.33 kilograms over multiple excretions at the Kano airport.
Separately, NDLEA foiled attempts by convicted kingpin Olashupo Michael Oladimeji to export 1.10kg cocaine concealed in cassava granules from Lagos airport.
Other interdictions included a 1.70kg skunk export, cannabis concealed in a children’s toy guitar, and synthetic cannabis production at a Lekki residence.
The agency also recovered 105,400 tramadol pills in Kwara and 563.5kg of skunk from Olumoye Forest, Edo State, following coordinated raids across multiple states.
NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), commended officers nationwide for their professionalism and urged continued focus on drug supply and demand reduction.
