Bayelsa Assembly holds valedictory session for pioneer Clerk

The Bayelsa State House of Assembly held a valedictory session on Thursday to honour its late pioneer clerk, Chief Ebiegberi Domo-Spiff.
Speaking during the session, Speaker Abraham Ingobere described Domo-Spiff as a committed public servant whose work left a lasting mark on the assembly.
He extended condolences to the family and prayed for them to find strength in their loss.
The Leader of the House, Monday Obolo-Bubou, highlighted the late clerk’s role in laying a strong foundation for his successors and praised his dedication to promoting peace within both the assembly and the community.
Chief Henry Domo-Spiff, brother of the deceased, thanked the assembly leadership for their support during the family’s time of grief, noting the comfort it brought during a difficult period.
The session reflects the assembly’s tradition of recognising the contributions of key officers and colleagues who have served the institution with distinction.
