Okpebholo apologises for Ramat Park flyover disruption, confirms near completion

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has expressed regret to residents and motorists for the traffic disruptions caused by the ongoing construction of the Ramat Park flyover in Ikpoba-Okha LGA.
During an unscheduled inspection, the governor revealed that the project is approximately 90 per cent complete.
He commended the contractor for maintaining high quality and timely progress, projecting full completion within one to two months.
Okpebholo acknowledged the temporary congestion caused by construction but praised residents for their patience, noting that the project is a landmark initiative aimed at easing traffic in the area.
The governor also thanked President Bola Tinubu for supporting Edo State’s development efforts, emphasising that federal assistance has enabled the execution of major infrastructure projects across the state.
Residents welcomed Okpebholo’s visit, celebrating the project as a milestone for Ikpoba Hill.
Market traders and commuters expressed optimism that the flyover would reduce longstanding traffic congestion and boost local economic activities.
When completed, the Ramat Park flyover is expected to significantly improve traffic flow and serve as a legacy infrastructure for Benin City and surrounding communities.
