Nigeria needs inward transformation, says Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William Kumuyi, has called on Nigerians, especially leaders, to embrace inward transformation as a foundation for national renewal.
Speaking with journalists at Port Harcourt International Airport on Tuesday ahead of his upcoming “Global Crusade with Kumuyi,” he highlighted the importance of personal and spiritual growth in shaping public conduct and societal progress.
Kumuyi said the crusade, themed “Turning Point,” is designed to inspire decisive change in individuals, families, and communities, emphasising that meaningful transformation begins within.
“True change in society starts when individuals experience a turning point in their lives, which then radiates outward to communities and the nation,” he stated.
The cleric urged leaders to act with humility and seek divine guidance, noting that the values and decisions of those in power influence policies, governance, and economic outcomes.
He emphasised that positive internal change among citizens and influencers can directly contribute to national development and a sustainable future.
Kumuyi expressed hope that the crusade would spark widespread transformation, fostering renewed values, stronger communities, and a collective drive toward national progress.
State Overseer of the ministry in Rivers, Pius Idume, reinforced the message, welcoming Kumuyi and highlighting the spiritual significance of hosting the church leadership.
Idume said the six-day programme aims to provide participants with opportunities for personal breakthroughs through faith and divine grace, marking a critical moment in their spiritual journey.
