The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has announced that disbursement of the 2024/2025 Students Special Assistance Scheme, popularly known as the Bursary Award, will commence on March 10, 2026.
In a public service announcement issued in Asaba, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, stated that the payment is for eligible Delta State students currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria who have completed all registration and verification requirements for the 2024/2025 programme.
Enita said the bursary scheme demonstrates the state government’s ongoing commitment to supporting students’ education and welfare.
He commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his dedication to advancing educational development in the state.
The bursary aligns with the governor’s ‘MORE Agenda’, which prioritises human capital development and educational advancement.
Beneficiaries were urged to remain focused on their studies and uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and pride associated with Delta State.
The programme is among several initiatives by the Delta State Government designed to ease students’ financial burdens and enhance access to quality higher education for state indigenes.
