Governor Soludo, deputy sworn in for second term in Awka

Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Onyekachi Ibezim, were sworn in for a second term on Tuesday in a ceremony attended by top national figures, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo.
The event, held in the state capital, Awka, marked the formal continuation of Soludo’s leadership following his recent electoral victory for a second term. Distinguished dignitaries from political, traditional, and civil sectors joined the gathering to witness the historic occasion.
Tuesday’s ceremony underscored the commitment of the Anambra State government to continuity, stability, and the implementation of policies initiated during Soludo’s first term.
The governor’s second inauguration signals renewed focus on development, governance reforms, and the enhancement of public services in the South-East state.
Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and other stakeholders were present to celebrate the peaceful transition into the next phase of governance.
Observers described the event as a demonstration of political maturity, reflecting both respect for democratic processes and the unity of purpose between federal and state leaders.
The swearing-in followed months of preparation and campaigning, with the governor pledging to build on achievements from his previous term, including infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and social welfare programs.
