Gov. Okpebholo felicitates with Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, urges unity, peace

Gôvernor Monday Okpebholo of Edo has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr.
The message is contained in a statement signed by Dr Patrick Ebojele, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor on Friday in Benin.
Okpbeholo commended the Muslim community for their devotion and spiritual commitment during the Ramadan, highlighting the values of sacrifice, compassion, and selflessness as essential for a peaceful and united society.
He urged Muslims to sustain these virtues and promote harmony among citizens, regardless of differences.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, economic development, and welfare of all Edo residents.
He emphasised that unity remained key to achieving sustainable growth and progress.
The governor called on Edo people to pray for peace, stability, and development of the state and the nation at large during the festive period,
“Eid-el-Fitr is a time of joy, reflection, and gratitude. Let us celebrate in peace, extend love to one another,”he said.
He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
