Easter: Ondo Speaker tasks Christians on peace, unity

The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Chief Olamide Oladiji, has urged Christians in the state to work in the overall interest of the state by pursuing peace, endurance and unity.

Oladiji gave the advice in an Easter message to Christians on Sunday in Akure.

He urged the Christian faithful to emulate Jesus Christ in sacrifice, peace and unity.

“As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter today, I urge them to reflect on the resurrection of Jesus Christ by showing love to one another.

“There is the need for them to imbibe the spirit of humility and holiness as exemplified by Jesus Christ,” he said.

Oladiji wished the Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration.

He emphasised on the need for them to remain steadfast in faith and committed to values that foster a better society.

The speaker prayed that the resurrection of Jesus Christ would continue to bring happiness to all and sundry.
