Former Bayelsa State Governor and Senator, Seriake Dickson, has intensified mobilisation efforts for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), receiving party stakeholders from Gombe State, Nasarawa State, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in a series of political engagements aimed at strengthening the party’s national structure.

Senator Dickson on Monday, said the meetings formed part of ongoing consultations and mobilisation visits designed to consolidate the party’s presence across Nigeria.

He disclosed that a Gombe State delegation, led by the party’s National Vice Chairman, Dr. Danlami Arabs, and the National Women Leader, Mrs. Dudu Manuga, visited the party leadership alongside a governorship aspirant, Dr. Babayo Ardo, for discussions on strengthening party organisation in the state.

Dickson said the delegation’s engagement focused on reviewing party activities in Gombe State and planning strategies for wider grassroots mobilisation ahead of future elections.

According to him, the Gombe State structure of the party was performing well, adding that he commended state officials for their efforts while urging them to intensify mobilisation across all local government areas.

He also received the State Chairman of the party in Nasarawa State, Hon. Dogo Shammah, a former Commissioner for Information who reportedly resigned from the All Progressives Congress before joining the NDC, alongside the State Secretary, Hon. Osokunu, a former local government council chairman.

Dickson described developments in Nasarawa State as encouraging, commending party officials for their commitment while urging continued expansion of the party’s support base.

He further met with a group of young party members and an aspirant for the House of Representatives in the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Jesse Williams Ejemot, who visited to express solidarity with the party leadership.

Dickson stated that the party remains open to all aspirants, particularly young people and women, noting that inclusiveness remains central to the NDC’s political vision.
