Nigerian disc jockey and producer Michael Adeyinka, popularly known as DJ Tunez, has released a new single titled “State of Mind” featuring Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid.
The track, which was unveiled over the weekend, is now available on major digital streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Audiomack.
Blending Afrofusion with electronic production, the song showcases Wizkid’s signature smooth vocals layered over rhythmic beats and late-night-inspired instrumentals.
Early reports indicate that “State of Mind” has recorded strong global streaming numbers within hours of its release and is already gaining attention on regional music charts.
The collaboration continues a long-running professional relationship between both artistes.
DJ Tunez is signed to Starboy Entertainment, the label founded by Wizkid, and has served as the singer’s official disc jockey since 2015.
Over the years, the duo has released several joint projects, including Gbese, Cool Me Down, Caution, Turn Up, Pami and One Condition.
DJ Tunez rose to prominence in 2016 following the success of the hit track Iskaba, a collaboration with Wande Coal, which became one of Nigeria’s widely played songs at the time.
Since then, he has worked with several top Nigerian artistes, including Reekado Banks, Omah Lay and Adekunle Gold, further strengthening his reputation in the Afrobeats scene.
