Trump says Iran peace deal near completion

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that a wide-ranging peace agreement involving the United States, Iran, and several Middle Eastern nations is close to finalisation following a series of high-level discussions with regional leaders.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he spoke from the Oval Office with multiple heads of state and government, focusing on Iran and a proposed peace memorandum involving several countries in the Middle East.
He said: “An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed.”
According to him, the consultations involved leaders from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain.
He listed the participants as including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Trump also confirmed that he held a separate conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing the discussion as positive.
“Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well,” he said.
He further noted that final details of the proposed arrangement were still being worked out and would be released soon.
“Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly,” Trump added.
The U.S. president also stated that the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most strategic oil transit routes, would be reopened as part of the agreement.
