Tinubu To Launch Buhari Tribute Book July 2026

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has announced that President Bola Tinubu will publicly unveil a commemorative publication titled “Tributes and Condolences in Honour of Muhammadu Buhari” during the one-year remembrance of the late former president.
The event is scheduled for July 13, 2026, at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre, Asokoro, Abuja, and is expected to begin at 12 noon. Mustapha, who chairs the Central Planning Committee for the remembrance, disclosed this during a press briefing in Abuja.
The book is being released in honour of late President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on July 13, 2025, in London at the age of 82 after a prolonged illness.
The publication gathers tributes from global leaders, diplomats, and political figures who described him as a leader marked by simplicity, discipline, and resilience.
According to Mustapha, the programme will include interfaith prayers led by religious leaders from different denominations, reflecting unity and national cohesion.
Selected associates and colleagues of the late president would also share personal reflections on his life and leadership.
He further explained that the book will be formally presented by President Bola Tinubu and will be distributed free of charge, with no fundraising or commercial intent attached to it.
The remembrance event is expected to draw family members, close associates, government officials, and admirers of the late president, with organisers hoping it will provide comfort while preserving his legacy of public service.
