Fubara pays tribute to Amaechi’s late mother

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has expressed profound sympathy to former Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, over the death of his mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.

In a condolence message released on Saturday through his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, Governor Fubara described the passing of the revered matriarch as a painful loss that extends beyond the Amaechi family to the Catholic faithful, the people of Ubima and the entire Rivers State.

The governor acknowledged the emotional burden that comes with losing a mother, noting that such a loss leaves an enduring void in every family.

He, however, encouraged Amaechi and his loved ones to draw strength from the exemplary life she lived and the lasting values she imparted to those around her.

Fubara paid tribute to the late Dame Amaechi for her influence in shaping the character, values and aspirations of her family, while also contributing positively to her community through a life of dignity, faith and service.

On behalf of the government and people of Rivers State, the governor prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family and asked God to grant the departed matriarch eternal rest.
