The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has described Peter Obi as a dependable leader capable of moving Nigeria forward.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Kwankwaso said he gained a better understanding of Obi’s leadership qualities after the 2023 general election.
The former Kano State governor, who is Obi’s running mate in the 2027 presidential election, said the NDC flagbearer is committed to Nigeria’s progress.
“I believe I know much more than I knew before the 2023 elections. Now I know that Peter is a very serious politician.
”He has this country in mind. He is somebody that one can rely on,” Kwankwaso said.
Kwankwaso said his decision to work with Obi was based on his confidence in the former Anambra State governor’s vision and ability to address the country’s challenges.
