Delta supports 533 law school graduates with financial assistance

The Delta State Government has approved financial assistance for 533 indigenes who successfully completed the Nigerian Law School during the 2025 session, in a move aimed at easing the financial challenges faced by newly qualified lawyers.

The support package, approved by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, would be disbursed through the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board as part of the administration’s investment in education and human capital development.

Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, urged all eligible beneficiaries to comply with the stipulated documentation and submission requirements to ensure prompt processing and payment.

According to him, “The latest intervention underscores the Oborevwori administration’s commitment to investing in education and professional development under its MORE Agenda, which places a premium on human capital development and the empowerment of young Deltans.”

He added that the initiative is expected to provide financial relief for the young legal practitioners as they begin their professional careers, while reinforcing the state’s commitment to supporting academic excellence and professional growth.
