Empowering women, girls key to Africa’s future – AWLO

Empowering women and girls is key to Africa’s future. When women have access to education and opportunities, they boost the economy, reduce poverty, and improve community health.
This has been the core of our motivation at African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWLO) conferences across the globe the past 15 years. Our meetings are geared towards formulating strategies and capacity building to advance Women’s leadership.
It is a known fact that empowered women invest in their families, leading to healthier and more prosperous communities.
The saying “When you educate a girl, you educate a nation” highlights the impact of girls’ education. Young girls of today will become the empowered women tomorrow.
In the words of the the late icon, Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
We call on all and sundry, especially men of all background to join in this cause.
Let’s support gender equality and women’s empowerment for a brighter, more inclusive future for Africa.
– Let’s partner to create a safe space for African women to thrive.
– We must all come together to challenge the biases against women.
– Let’s start the conversation and have women involved in decision and policy making.
There’s never been a better time to make your impact felt than now. sponsor a girl child. mentor a women in position of leadership etc.
“There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women,” as said by the former UN secretary general Mr. Kofi Annan.
The question now is, are you in?
