My take on Davido and Sophia

By Fred Edoreh
I insist that Davido is obligated to properly provide to cater for Imade, his daughter with Sophia Momodu. For some of us, N1m for monthly feeding/healthcare and N5m for yearly accommodation may seem okay, but for the daughter of a super star living with her mum, perhaps Davido can still do more. Nothing spoil if baby mama possibly enjoy small through her daughter.
That said, however, I hope the child custody matter that has taken the news waves now isn’t calculated to spoil the joy of David and Chioma’s official marriage and throw sour grapes into their matrimony. Chioma is known to be cool and calm, but she is human and no one knows at what point this whole thing can get to her.
Without being judgemental, I somehow find it a bit odd that when David’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, asked for Imade to spend Christmas with him and his other grandchildren, Sophia reportedly refused, purportedly insisting that she should be given at least two month’s notice before she can allow Imade to join the Adelekes on any such vacation.
I honestly thought she should have respected that it was the child’s grandad that requested, the grandad who she revealed cleared up all Imade’s school fees and made arrangements for future payments.
I agree, as Shakespeare put it, that “hell hath no fury like a woman jilted in love,” but in life, things we did not bargain for do happen and we must not dwell on them forever.
We must move on… because even this whole cacophony is not good for Imade’s growing up, mental and psychological health.
Come, let us reason together, quietly…
