Air Peace has strengthened its position in regional aviation after retaining its title as Best West Africa Sub-Regional Airline of the Year and clinching a total of seven awards at the 2026 Nigerian Aviation (NIGAV) Awards held in Lagos.
The event took place at the NIGAV Conference Centre in Ikeja, where the airline emerged as one of the most decorated organisations of the night, with recognitions spanning leadership, innovation, and service delivery.
Among the honours received were Airline Executive Chief of the Year, awarded to the airline’s Chairman, Allen Onyema, alongside Nigerian Commercial Airline of the Year and Best West Africa Sub-Regional Airline of the Year.
The carrier also secured awards for Best Air Travel Mobile App of the Year, Best In-flight Magazine (Alice Magazine), Best Airport Lounge of the Year, and Pilot of the Year (Male Category), underscoring its performance across multiple aspects of aviation service.
The retention of key titles, particularly the West Africa Sub-Regional Airline award, further highlights Air Peace’s continued consistency in expanding connectivity and maintaining operational standards within the region.
Reacting to the recognition, the airline’s spokesperson, Mr. Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the achievement as both humbling and motivating, noting that it reflects the company’s commitment to improving passenger experience and deepening intra-African connectivity.
He added that the awards validate the airline’s investments in fleet modernisation, digital innovation, and service enhancement strategies.
The Nigerian Aviation Awards, now in its 15th edition, is regarded as one of the industry’s leading platforms for recognising excellence and innovation in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
The event was attended by stakeholders, including representatives of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
With its expanding network and sustained focus on innovation, Air Peace continues to position itself as a major force in shaping air travel across West Africa and beyond.
