Delta known for hospitality – Dep. Gov.

Deputy Gov. Sir Monday Onyeme of Delta has said that the state is highly reputable for its hospitality among the comity of states in the federation.
Sir Onyeme said this on Monday in Asaba, when a delegation of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), led by its President and Chairman, Hajia Zuwairat Kishimi, paid him a courtesy visit.
According to him, the influx of investors and visitors to the state has been attributed to the hospitable nature of its people.
He further said that the administration of Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori had made the state conducive for those with genuine intentions, through the effective delivery of its MORE Agenda.
Onyeme commended ANAN for choosing Asaba as the venue for its 2026 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme.
He said that the training and retraining of professionals usually helps to keep them abreast of recent developments in their fields.
”Delta is known for its hospitality and, as a government, we are committed to making the state more comfortable for tourists and people, who intend to do genuine business,” he said.
He urged members of ANAN to always uphold the ethics of the accounting profession and wished them a pleasant stay in the state.
The president and Chairman of the Council of ANAN, Kishimi, commended the State Government for making Asaba conducive for their programme.
She admitted that the administration of Oborevwori had provided a conducive environment for both residents and visitors alike.
