Obi–Kwankwaso ‘OK movement’ unveils national structures, salls for reform

The Obi–Kwankwaso (OK) Movement has announced the establishment of its national and state structures across Nigeria, describing the development as the start of a coordinated effort aimed at systemic reform and national renewal.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Justin Ijeh, the group said Nigeria is currently at a critical turning point, citing worsening economic hardship, rising cost of living, and persistent insecurity as major challenges facing citizens.

According to the movement, the unveiling of its structures goes beyond routine political organisation, describing it instead as a deliberate attempt to mobilise Nigerians toward what it termed a “national rebirth.”

“Nigeria stands at a defining crossroads. Today, as our people endure the weight of unprecedented economic hardship, the soaring cost of living, and the persistent shadow of insecurity, the Obi–Kwankwaso (OK) Movement formally announces the unveiling of its national and state structures,” the statement read.

The group acknowledged growing frustration among citizens across the country, particularly farmers, entrepreneurs, and households affected by insecurity and economic instability.

“We recognise the exhaustion felt in every Nigerian household. From the farmer unable to harvest in safety to the entrepreneur stifled by a volatile economy, the struggle is real.

”Yet, in this moment of darkness, the OK Movement stands as a beacon of resolute hope,” it said.

The movement maintained that its core objective is to promote a system that prioritises citizens over elite interests, insisting that Nigeria’s challenges require deep structural reforms rather than political slogans or rhetoric.

“Our mission is anchored in a singular, unwavering conviction: Nigeria will be OK. We do not offer mere rhetoric; we offer a structured, disciplined pathway towards a country that works, not for the few, but for every citizen,” the statement added.
