Educator Eunice Eto dies at 58

An educationist and school proprietor, Eunice Oghenekome Eto, is dead.
She passed away on March 20, 2026, in Delta State after a period of declining health.
Family sources confirmed that the late educator would be laid to rest from May 1 to May 3, 2026, in Otor-Iyede, her hometown in Isoko North Local Government Area.
Mrs. Eto was the proprietress of Treasure Hills School, Lagos, where she built a reputation for nurturing young minds and promoting quality education.
In a statement, the Eto family of Iyede Kingdom described her as a devout Christian and a central figure in the family, noting her roles as a mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and cousin.
Born in 1968, Eunice Eto lived a life marked by faith, resilience, and commitment to service. She grew up in a missionary environment established by her elder sister, the late Mrs. Victoria Eto, which shaped her spiritual and moral outlook.
She had her secondary education at Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ozoro, before pursuing higher studies in Christian Religious Studies.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005 and later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in 2014 from Lagos State University.
Her professional journey began outside the classroom as a trader, but her passion for teaching eventually drew her into education.
In 2009, she joined Marigold College as a Christian Religious Studies teacher. She later taught at Prime Focus Academy between 2010 and 2012.
In 2015, she founded Treasure Hills School, a venture through which she mentored and inspired pupils, leaving a lasting impact on both students and the wider community.
Colleagues and family members recalled her as a firm believer in hard work and personal aspiration, often encouraging others to strive for excellence.
She was widely regarded as peaceful, loyal, and deeply committed to her faith.
Her family noted that her greatest joy was her four children, with whom she shared a close and supportive relationship, always prioritising their wellbeing in her decisions.
Despite health challenges that began in 2022, she remained steadfast, continuing to show compassion and strength until her passing.
Though her death has created a void, her legacy of faith, love, and dedication to education endures in her children, students, and all who encountered her life’s work.
“A life of purpose, a heart of love, a legacy that lives on,” the family said.
