Nwokolo declares for Ndokwa/Ukwuani Reps seat

Dr. Ugochukwu Nwokolo, popularly known as “Overdo,” has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency under the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dr. Nwokolo promised purposeful leadership and accelerated development for the region.
In his declaration, Nwokolo described Ndokwa Nation as a region richly blessed with intelligent, hardworking, and resilient people, as well as abundant natural and human resources capable of transforming the area into one of the leading regions in Delta State and Nigeria.
He, however, expressed concern that despite these enormous advantages, the constituency continues to face poverty, poor infrastructure, and underdevelopment.
According to him, “The major challenge confronting the constituency is not the absence of potential but the lack of creative, effective, and selfless representation capable of unlocking opportunities for growth and prosperity”.
He stressed the urgent need for a new style of leadership in the National Assembly, one that places the welfare of the people above personal interests and aggressively pursues development initiatives that can improve living standards across the constituency.
While appreciating the efforts of previous representatives, Nwokolo stated that the time had come to move beyond old approaches and embrace a higher level of leadership capable of delivering practical results to the people.
The aspirant explained that his vision is to attract meaningful social and infrastructural development to the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency through quality representation, strategic lobbying, and people-centred legislation.
He also said his agenda would focus on improving roads, healthcare services, educational facilities, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities for communities within the constituency.
Nwokolo further noted that his mission is to help rebuild the Ndokwa of the people’s dreams through policies and legislative actions that would stimulate socio-economic growth, attract development projects, and improve the welfare of residents.
He pledged that his leadership would be driven by integrity, transparency, accountability, responsiveness, and selfless service, assuring constituents that every son and daughter of Ndokwa would enjoy a true sense of belonging.
The House of Representatives hopeful expressed confidence that sustainable development in Ndokwa is achievable with the right leadership, adding that he possessed the competence, ideas, determination, and practical exposure required to provide quality representation at the National Assembly.
Appealing for public support and trust, Nwokolo urged constituents to assess his track record and personal achievements, insisting that he is committed to keeping his promises and delivering responsible leadership.
He also acknowledged the scepticism many Nigerians feel toward politicians and political promises but maintained that he is determined to distinguish himself through honesty, dedication, and service to the people.
Calling for unity and collective effort, Nwokolo urged the people of Ndokwa/Ukwuani to join him in building a stronger, prosperous, and united constituency that future generations would be proud of.
