Tinubu arrives Kigali for CEO forum

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum scheduled to begin on Thursday.
Tinubu landed on Wednesday at the Presidential Wing of the Kigali International Airport, where he was received by senior Nigerian and Rwandan officials.
Those present at the reception included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, and Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.
A statement issued by the President’s spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, also confirmed that other officials were on hand to welcome the Nigerian leader.
They include the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole; the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Amb. Mohammed Mohammed; the Nigerian Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Amb. Ibrahim Zanna; and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare.
The Africa CEO Forum, founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation, is regarded as Africa’s largest annual gathering of private sector leaders, policymakers, and investors.
The forum is designed to drive conversations around economic transformation on the continent through regional integration, expanded investment, and private sector-led growth.
This year’s edition is themed “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership,” focusing on strengthening cross-border cooperation and shared economic development.
During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to speak on “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will outline the impact of Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms.
He is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with global and African business leaders, as well as reaffirm Nigeria’s role in shaping Africa’s economic direction.
Tinubu is further expected to use the platform to advocate for stronger African unity, deeper regional cooperation, and expanded partnerships to support sustainable private sector growth across the continent.
