Umo Eno inspects ARISE Palm Resort, sets 2026 opening

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom on Thursday night carried out an unscheduled inspection of the ARISE Palm Resort following a series of meetings with the state’s Tourism Committee.
The governor was accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, including commissioners, as he toured different sections of the expansive recreational facility.
During the visit, Eno walked through the resort’s access routes and inspected key installations, expressing satisfaction with the ambience and overall progress of work on the tourism project.
In a light-hearted moment during the tour, the governor and members of his entourage also rode on one of the newly installed roller coasters, adding excitement to the late-night inspection.
Describing the facility as a major leisure destination, Eno said the resort was designed to provide relaxation and entertainment for both residents and visitors.
He noted that while governance and development remained priorities, recreation also plays an important role in promoting wellbeing.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening tourism infrastructure in the state, adding that the ARISE Palm Resort would be formally commissioned in September 2026.
He expressed optimism that the project would boost tourism, create jobs and enhance the state’s profile as a destination for leisure and investment.
