Drake breaks Michael Jackson’s billboard record

Drake has surpassed Michael Jackson’s long-standing record for the most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles by a solo male artist after his track “Janice STFU” debuted at the top of the chart.
The new milestone gives the Canadian rapper a total of 14 Hot 100 No. 1 hits, placing him level with Rihanna and Taylor Swift for the third-highest number of chart-toppers overall.
Only , who holds 19 No. 1 hits, and , with 20, rank above him in Billboard history.
Drake also set another record after placing 42 songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 in a single week, surpassing the previous mark of 37 entries held by Morgan Wallen. His previous personal best stood at 27 entries in 2018.
Across this week’s Hot 100 top 10, Drake dominates nine positions, with only Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” appearing outside his sweep at No. 5.
The latest chart performance pushes his career total to 90 top-10 Hot 100 entries, further extending his dominance in modern chart history.
He also became the first artist in Billboard history to surpass 400 total entries on the Hot 100 chart.
The record-breaking week followed the release of three albums, Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti which were released simultaneously on May 15.
Drake had teased Iceman for nearly two years through livestream previews before unexpectedly releasing the two companion albums shortly before launch.
The albums themselves also made history after debuting at numbers one, two and three on the Billboard 200 chart.
Iceman alone earned 463,000 equivalent album units, giving Drake his 15th Billboard 200 No. 1 album.
That achievement pushed him past Jay-Z for the most No. 1 albums among solo male and hip-hop artists.
Drake now ties Taylor Swift for the most Billboard 200 No. 1 albums by a solo act, trailing only The Beatles, who hold the all-time record with 19.
