Tamunosoye Karibi-George Crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026

Tamunosoye Karibi-George, representing Bayelsa State, has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026 after winning the national pageant held in Lagos.
The 26-year-old, originally from Port Harcourt in Rivers State, secured the title at the grand finale held at the Federal Palace Hotel, emerging tops from a field of finalists competing under the theme “Pride, Power, and Purpose.”
Her victory qualifies her to represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss World Festival, scheduled for August 9 to September 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Announcing the result, Silverbird Group founder and former senator Ben Murray-Bruce congratulated her, describing her as a change advocate.
He also praised her social impact initiative, Beyond Labels, which supports children with special needs and promotes inclusion.
Murray-Bruce urged Nigerians to support her ahead of the global competition, saying she carries the hopes of the nation.
Karibi-George succeeds Joy Mojisola Raimi, who represented Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant in India and finished among the Top 20 contestants.
