Asaba traditional council makes Ahaba anthem mandatory worldwide

 

The Asagba of Asaba, Professor Epiphany Azinge, has directed that the Ahaba National Anthem be recited at all Asaba gatherings across the world.

The declaration was made during the Asagba Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday at the royal palace in Asaba.

The meeting opened with a historic recitation of the Ahaba National Anthem by all council members present.

Addressing the council, the traditional; ruler announced that the anthem would henceforth precede every meeting involving Asaba people, regardless of location.

He urged Asaba sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora to embrace the directive as a symbol of unity and shared identity.

According to him, the anthem will strengthen collective consciousness and help project a unified image of the Asaba Kingdom globally.

“This development will help the entire Asaba Kingdom to speak with one voice and project a unified identity through our anthem,” he stated.

The added that the directive takes immediate effect and applied to cultural, social, community and developmental gatherings of Asaba people worldwide.

Azinge said that the initiative is a significant step toward preserving the heritage, values and identity of the Asaba Kingdom across generations.
