ADC defends David Mark’s leadership after judgment

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Media Alliance (AMA) has said the recent Court of Appeal judgment does not affect the position of Senator David Mark as the party’s national chairman.
In a statement signed by Rt. Comr. Tyoluga P. F. M. Wuhe, National Publicity Secretary of the ADC Media Alliance, the party rejected what it described as misleading interpretations of the court ruling being circulated on social media.
The group said the judgment did not remove David Mark from office or alter the current structure of the party’s national leadership.
It maintained that the ADC had already complied with an earlier Federal High Court decision by suspending the inauguration of newly elected state executive officers pending the outcome of legal proceedings.
According to the statement, the David Mark-led National Working Committee remains in charge and continues to operate in line with the party’s constitution and relevant court decisions.
The ADC Media Alliance urged party members, supporters and the public to ignore what it called false narratives aimed at creating confusion within the party.
The group reaffirmed that the ADC would continue to respect lawful court decisions while pursuing available legal processes, adding that the party remains committed to democracy, justice and constitutional order.
The statement called on ADC members to remain calm and united as the party continues efforts to strengthen its internal democratic structures.
