Diri assures Yenagoa of stable electricity

Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa has assured residents that every part of Yenagoa will eventually be connected to the state’s independent power project despite ongoing technical challenges.

Speaking during the State Executive Council meeting, the governor appealed for patience and urged residents to ignore false information capable of threatening the peace and security of the state.

He maintained that the government remains committed to extending electricity supply from the gas turbine project to all parts of the state capital.

“Every nook and cranny of Yenagoa will eventually be connected to the gas turbine. There may be teething challenges in some areas, but they will certainly be overcome for the benefit of everyone.”

Diri added that the increasing national and international recognition received by Bayelsa reflects his administration’s commitment to delivering quality governance across critical sectors.
