Oborevwori celebrates Mayuku at 60

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta has celebrated the 60th birthday of the Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, describing him as a distinguished public servant whose career has spanned law, legislation, administration and community development.
In a birthday message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor praised Mayuku for what he described as “prodigious intellect,” noting that his decades of service had demonstrated versatility, competence and a sustained commitment to the development of the State.
Oborevwori particularly highlighted Mayuku’s contributions to legal practice and legislative advocacy, as well as his efforts to promote unity and strengthen relationships across ethnic and tribal lines.
The governor recalled Mayuku’s tenure as Executive Director, Projects, at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), where he played a role in implementing development projects in oil-producing communities.
Mayuku also represented Warri South-West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, where he occupied several influential committee positions, including Chairman of the Committees on Information, Finance and Appropriation, and Education.
According to Oborevwori, Mayuku’s record reflects a career built around public responsibility and service, with contributions extending from the courtroom and legislature to community development and public administration.
The governor commended the celebrant for his years of dedication to governance and society, expressing confidence that his experience would continue to benefit the state.
He prayed for Mayuku to enjoy continued good health, wisdom and strength as he enters a new decade, urging him to remain committed to the peace, security and development of Delta State and Nigeria.
At 60, Mayuku’s career offers a broad public-service trajectory spanning legal practice, legislative responsibilities, development administration and, currently, security-sector leadership—roles through which he has remained involved in issues central to the growth and stability of Delta.
