Delta known for hospitality – Dep. Gov.

Deputy Gov. Sir Monday Onyeme of Delta has said that the state is highly reputable for its hospitality among the comity of states in the federation.

‎​Sir Onyeme said this on Monday in Asaba, when a delegation of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), led by its President and Chairman, Hajia Zuwairat Kishimi, paid him a courtesy visit.

‎According to him, the influx of investors and visitors to the state has been attributed to the hospitable nature of its people.

‎​He further said that the administration of Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori had made the state conducive for those with genuine intentions, through the effective delivery of its MORE Agenda.

‎​Onyeme commended ANAN for choosing Asaba as the venue for its 2026 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme.

‎He said that the training and retraining of professionals usually helps to keep them abreast of recent developments in their fields.

‎​”Delta is known for its hospitality and, as a government, we are committed to making the state more comfortable for tourists and people, who intend to do genuine business,” he said.

‎​He urged members of ANAN to always uphold the ethics of the accounting profession and wished them a pleasant stay in the state.

‎​The president and Chairman of the Council of ANAN, Kishimi, commended the State Government for making Asaba conducive for their programme.

‎​She admitted that the administration of Oborevwori had provided a conducive environment for both residents and visitors alike.
