APC Reps Primaries Peaceful in Delta – Oborevwori

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta has applauded the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primaries across the state, describing the exercise as a clear sign of unity, transparency and the growing strength of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The governor spoke shortly after voting in his ward in Okpe Local Government Area during the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency primary election.
He expressed satisfaction with the orderly atmosphere and impressive participation recorded during the exercise.
“You can see the peaceful manner in which the primary election for the House of Representatives in the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency was conducted.
”The people are happy, united and satisfied with the process,” Oborevwori said.
He noted that the large turnout of party faithful reflected the increasing acceptance of the APC across Delta State.
According to him, the unity and peaceful coexistence displayed during the primaries should be sustained through the 2027 general elections.
“I want to thank everyone who came out to participate in this primary election. Their presence and commitment show the strength and unity of our party.
‘:This demonstrates clearly that we have dedicated members who are ready to work for the success of the party in 2027,” the governor added.
Party agents, Chief Bernard Jagboro and Hon. Madis Emerorota, who represented Hon. Ramson Onoyake and Mr. Odiate Obaro Emmanuel respectively, also praised the conduct of the exercise.
They commended the party leadership for ensuring a free, fair and transparent process.
The agents further lauded Governor Oborevwori for providing a level playing field for all aspirants and commended party members for their peaceful participation.
At the end of the exercise, Hon. Ramson Onoyake emerged winner of the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency primary election.
The result was announced by the returning officer, Mr. Charles Aniagwu.
In Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme commended the APC for adopting the Option A4 voting system during the Onicha-Ukwuani primary election.
Speaking with journalists after voting in his ward, Onyeme described the voting method as the most transparent system for elections in the country.
“If one wants to be truthful, this is the best form of election. Option A4 is the best for our country because secret balloting comes with a lot of deceit,” he stated.
He also praised the peaceful atmosphere recorded across the state during the exercise.
In the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency contest, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi was declared winner.
The Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency primary was equally conducted peacefully.
Chairman of the National Assembly Primaries Committee for Delta State, Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo, who monitored the exercise, commended party members for their orderly conduct and transparency throughout the process.
According to Odo, the committee visited several locations across the state and observed that the primaries progressed smoothly without violence or disruption.
He explained that the direct primary system adopted by the APC encouraged grassroots participation from the ward level up to the constituency collation centres.
“This is an actual public meeting and we have gone to some places to monitor the House of Representatives primaries in Delta State.
”So far, we have found that the primaries are going on peacefully. You can see that the collation process is going on peacefully,” Odo said.
He added that no reports of violence or infractions had been recorded from the areas visited by the committee.
Following the collation of results at the Oshimili South Local Government Council Secretariat, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu was declared winner of the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency primary by the returning officer, Mr. Val Arenyeka.
Reacting to his victory, Elumelu described his emergence as a collective triumph for the people of Aniocha/Oshimili and pledged to deliver impactful representation at the House of Representatives.
In Ethiope Federal Constituency, the exercise was also peaceful across all wards as Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Sueni emerged victorious in the primary election.
The APC primary election in Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency was conducted peacefully in line with the Electoral Act.
Party members arrived early at various polling centres across Bomadi Local Government Area to participate in the process.
Many party faithful expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, commending the APC for organising a transparent and peaceful exercise.
At Kpakiama Ward 2 in Bomadi Local Government Area, Council Chairman Hon. Dagidi Andaye participated in the exercise and praised party supporters for maintaining peace throughout the process.
He attributed the peaceful conduct of the election to the leadership style and developmental achievements of Governor Oborevwori, especially the spread of infrastructure projects across the state.
In Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency, the primary election was also conducted peacefully and orderly.
Voting at Afiesere Primary School, venue for the Ughelli Ward 3 exercise, commenced at about 11:00 a.m.
Party stakeholders, including Ughelli North APC Chairman, Comrade Lucky Ofomukoro, commended the transparent nature of the process and described the exercise as a true reflection of democratic principles within the party.
At the end of voting, Hon. Ejiro Waive emerged winner of the primary election in the constituency.
In Isoko Federal Constituency, incumbent lawmaker Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko defeated his challenger, Hon. Dickson Ebegbare, to secure victory in the APC primary election.
He was subsequently declared winner by the returning officer.
The APC also recorded a peaceful exercise during the Warri Federal Constituency primary election, which witnessed a large turnout of party members across the constituency.
Stakeholders, including Warri South Local Government Council Chairman Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, APC Chairman in Warri South Comrade Richard Pessu, and Chief Amah Agbajor, commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori for ensuring fairness and equal opportunities for all aspirants.
In Ika Federal Constituency, party leaders praised the impressive turnout of members during the primary election, describing it as a strong endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 polls.
Mr. Emmanuel Osazuwa was eventually declared winner of the Ika Federal Constituency primary election.
Similarly, Hon. Julius Pondi emerged victorious in the Burutu Federal Constituency primary election, which was also conducted peacefully across the area.
