Eid-el-Kabir: Anyafulu felicitates Muslims in Oshimili South, calls for unity, sacrifice

The Member representing Oshimili South Constituency in the Delta House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Oshimili South and across Delta State on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on Wednesday, the lawmaker described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred period that reminds believers of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in God.
Anyafulu said the celebration offers an opportunity for reflection on the importance of love, compassion, and selflessness in building stronger and more united communities.
She urged Muslims to continue to pray for peace, stability, and progress in Oshimili South, Delta and Nigeria at large, noting that the nation needs collective prayers and commitment more than ever.
According to her, Eid-el-Kabir is not just a time of celebration, but a reminder of the enduring values of sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to God, which we must all emulate in our daily lives.
She also called for increased acts of charity towards the less privileged, encouraging Muslim faithful to extend the spirit of the season to those in need within their communities.
“Let us use this period to show love to one another, care for the vulnerable, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one people, regardless of faith or background,” she added.
Anyafulu also appealed to residents to promote peaceful coexistence and tolerance among all religious groups, stressing that harmony remains essential for development and social progress.
She wished Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to celebrate responsibly and continue to uphold the values of faith, sacrifice, and unity.
