Don Jazzy’s father apologises to Peter, Lola Okoye over family rift

Collins Enebeli Ajereh Onwuneme, father of Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy, has expressed deep sympathy and offered an emotional apology to singer Peter Okoye and his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, amid the ongoing crisis involving Peter and his brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye.

Ajereh shared the message of support following the release of the eighth episode of Peter Okoye’s ongoing tell-all video series, in which the singer became emotional while recounting longstanding family issues surrounding his marriage.

In the latest episode, Peter alleged that his elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, insulted Lola during her first pregnancy, reportedly referring to their unborn son, Cameron, as a bastard because he opposed their relationship.

Peter further claimed that their late mother initially supported Jude and Paul but later changed her position.

According to him, before her death, she appealed to both brothers to apologise to him, but the request was allegedly ignored.

He also revealed that Jude’s strained relationship with Lola reportedly extended to his refusal to attend their traditional wedding.

Reacting to the revelations, Collins Ajereh took to Instagram to express his support for Peter and Lola.

Sharing a throwback photograph from 2015, when he prayed for the couple, he wrote:
“Throwback to 2015, the day I prayed for @peterpsquare and @lolaomotayo_okoye. As a father, I am very sorry and emotional about all that has happened to this family. We love them so much.

“All the same, I thank God for their lives, sustenance, endurance, decorum, matrimonial bond and will continue to keep them in my prayers.

“Time is a great healer, and may God take control of their circumstances.

”What can I say? May all the tribulations pass away, God heal our broken hearts and grant peace to this family, IJMN.”

His message comes as the long-running dispute within the Okoye family continues to attract public attention.
