Rivers women endorse Tinubu, Fubara for second term

A coalition of women under the platform Rivers Women Unite for SIM, in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Women of Faith in Politics, has declared support for President Bola Tinubu and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for second-term bids.
The endorsement was made during a praise rally held in Rivers State, where the group described their decision as necessary for sustaining what they called people-focused governance at both national and state levels.
The women said their backing reflects confidence in the leadership direction of both Tinubu and Fubara, particularly in areas of economic reforms, security improvements, and development initiatives.
The coalition commended President Tinubu for his policy direction, especially ongoing economic reforms, efforts to strengthen national security, and initiatives aimed at long-term stability and development.
They also praised Governor Fubara for what they described as inclusive governance, infrastructural development, and human capital investment under a “Rivers First” agenda.
According to the group, both leaders have demonstrated commitment to improving living conditions and advancing development across their respective mandates.
Speaking at the rally, the women said their support was also guided by faith and a belief in divine direction for leadership in the country and Rivers State.
They stressed that continuity of ongoing reforms is important, warning that any disruption could slow down progress already recorded in key sectors.
The coalition expressed optimism that both Tinubu and Fubara would continue policies aimed at promoting prosperity, stability, and inclusive growth.
They further urged the leaders to remain focused on their current programmes, assuring them of continued support from women groups and faith-based organisations across Rivers State.
