2027: Sheriff global initiative to deepen grassroots mobilisation

 

The United States branch of the Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027 has hailed the inauguration of LGA coordinators across Delta as a boost to grassroots mobilisation.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the inauguration took place on May 12 in Ughelli Local Government Area of the State.

The coordinators are charged with mobilising supporters, fostering unity, and strengthening the organisation’s structures at the local government level.

The group in a statement by its branch Secretary, Dr Christopher Usigbe, made available to NAN on Friday in Asaba,
described the initiative as a strategic step toward strengthening grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The statement said that the coordinators would play a vital role in expanding the movement’s presence in all parts of the state.

It noted that the appointments reflected the confidence reposed in the officials based on their commitment, loyalty, leadership qualities, and dedication to the group’s vision.

The statement said Oborevwori’s achievements in governance and development have continued to attract widespread support among the pepole of the state.

It said their leadership would be instrumental in building stronger community connections and driving participation across the State.

According to the statement, sustained grassroots engagement remains critical to promoting the governor’s record and consolidating support for his reelection bid.

The statement also commended the leadership of the Sheriff 2027 support movement for establishing a broad-based platform that accommodates supporters both at home and abroad.

It urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to remain focused, disciplined, and transparent in carrying out their responsibilities.

The group congratulated the coordinators and wished them a productive tenure as efforts intensify toward the 2027 governorship election.
